Thirteen California campus news programs will receive grants from the California Press Foundation to improve their production hardware and software.
A total of $16,118.64 will be distributed. Grants range from $512 to $1,500.
The grants go toward the purchase of new hardware or software, or for upgrades to improve the quality of the publication’s content and delivery.
The recipients for 2024 are:
• Del Mar High School, San Jose
• North Hollywood High School - The Arcade, North Hollywood
• Orange Glen High School, Escondido
• Eastside College Preparatory - The Eastside Panther, Palo Alto
• Animo Jefferson Charter Middle School - Bulldog Bugle, Los Angeles
• Norte Vista High School - The Bullseye, Riverside
• Temple City High School - Rampage, Temple City
• South East Senior High School - Jaguar Times, South Gate
• Flintridge Sacred Heart - Veritas Shield, La Cañada Flintridge
• Monterey Peninsula College - Lobo News, Monterey
• The Point Loma Nazarene University - The Point Weekly, San Diego
• Pierce College - The Roundup, Woodland Hills
• Santa Barbara City College - The Channels, Santa Barbara
