Seven students have been confirmed for California Press Foundation internship grants in 2024.
The students, who demonstrated an exceptional interest in pursuing careers in the news business in California, each will receive a $2,500 educational grant when they begin their internship.
The students are required to pursue and secure internships on their own at California news companies. Internships, which can occur in spring or summer, must be full-time and last at least six weeks.
The 2024 newsroom internship finalists, hometowns and colleges are:
