The application deadline is Nov. 24, 2022, for the California Press Foundation’s 2023 Internship Grants program.
The program will provide up to four $2,500 grants to college students who obtain newsroom internships at California news companies in Spring or Summer 2022. Also, Cal Press has earmarked one $2,500 grant for a most-worthy advertising or marketing intern.
Cal Press provides grants to select students who demonstrate an exceptional interest in pursuing careers in the news business in California. The students must seek and secure the internship on their own at news companies that belong to CNPA. Internships, which can occur in spring or summer, must be full time and last at least six weeks.
Since 1996, Cal Press has funded 182 internships at California news companies. Visit here to view our roster of former interns.
